Michael’s Ministry is a Christian nonprofit mobile outreach program, founded by Michael Barkanic, specializing in delivering clothes and meals, providing a mobile shower system, providing hygienic products, helping find and provide housing and shelter, and providing medical assistance to people living on the street and to those in need, while also awakening people to the Word of God and teaching compassion to people and how compassion is an integral component in facilitating world peace and harmony.

Besides those two main services, the ministry provides help to people it comes across in whatever way they individually need help, whatever it may be (i.e. trying to find a place to stay for a night, or transportation for a medical emergency, or creating a plan and helping someone improve their quality of life, or if someone just needs someone to talk to and needs some reassurance in life).

The ministry has served in 44 states in the United States, so far. The ministry has served in most major cities in America (NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Dallas, Seattle, Boston, Portland, Tampa, Washington D.C, New Orleans, Louisville, Denver; to name a few). Part of the goal is to try to give love to most every region of America and imprint Christ on as many people, in as many places, as possible.

The ministry believes in the the dual effort of “works” and “spreading the Word of God”, where one gives physical assistance while also being a theological guide for people.

Michael’s Ministry responds to disasters. The ministry was present in the rebuilding of Mayfield, Kentucky in December 2021 after the tornado and the rebuilding of Lake Charles, Louisiana during the 2020 devastating hurricane season.

Humanity is a fractured species - a fractured family. Humanity is like a chunk of clay that crumbles into smaller pieces with every act of sin, evil, and indifference. Every act of compassion is an act of fitting these crumbs of clay back together and pressing this family back together into a whole, with that said, it is a combination of acting with compassion, being truthful and factual, being righteously judgmental and receptive to rightful criticism that solves problems within ourselves; and we bring humanity back together by being responsible in the ways of God; lacking any one of these components is to ultimately lack them all.
